Coming in December 2011...

A DEGREE!!!

I have officially signed up for my last classes at BYU!

I will be graduating in December 2011 with a degree in

Family Studies

No emphasis

no honors

not even with a good GPA

BUT

...

I will be graduated!

I will have that piece of paper that says the I have been certified to have a brain

hahaha

This spring semester I am taking off, and then will be going in summer and fall.

I am so excited to have time off!

I am going to just relax, sleep, and work out on my days off

I am really hoping to get into shape for summer!

I cant wait for the warm weather... this morning it snowed...

so I'm not sure how far off the warm weather is!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

classes are OVER! I have 2 online finals, 2 monday morning, and one in the testing center. By this time next week I will be FREE!! At least for spring semester! I cannot wait to have a break and just do normal things- like cook dinner and mop my floor! It is SO exciting!

For my religion class we had to make a religious item. What I decided to do was to create a blog that we can record our traditions, our testimonies, and our work to further the gospel. take a look at it

It is still a little new, but i am going to try to update it everyweek. I figure it is a way for me to record my testimony and our family traditions in a way that is easy and accesable for me, and then after a couple of years we will print it out to keep it for future generations.

(i feel so crafty... or something!!)

So i think this semester off I am going to try to learn to SEW!!!

I want to sew a dress... if you have any tips send them on my way!!

Snowing Again....

It's April, and It's snowing.

I was going to attempt to plant some flowers outside, but looks like I am going to have to wait a little bit for that!

Did you know that you can buy a whole package to grow flowers from the dollar store? It comes with compressed dirt that you soak in water and it expands, a pot and seeds! Buy a couple of those and you have your own little inside garden! I got two of them; one for tomatoes and one for some gerber daisies. I put them out on the window seal, and hoped that something would grow. I came downstairs this morning and apparently our wonderful kitties decided they wanted to look out the window last night, because my poor plants(well my dirt) was ALL OVER the counters and sink. I salvaged enough dirt to fill up one of the pots again, but I'm not sure if I got any seeds in it, or if I mixed the seeds up, or if the seeds are even close enough to the top to grow. But I don't want to throw it out, what if it does grow?? So I might end up with a pot of daisies and tomatoes!

Once the weather warms up I am going to plant a "garden." More like pots in the back yard, but how cool would it be to actually grow something and be able to eat it! My mom always tried her green thumb out, but we never did have very much luck!

At work we generally drink a lot of water, but there are those days where you really just NEED a Dr. Pepper. Why is it so good? I have decided to only drink diet soda because it is not worth it to have all of those calories in just your drink! But the other day I had a regular Dr. Pepper and WHOWA! There is such a HUGE difference! Regular is like 10 times better. But I think I will still stick to Diet unless I feel like splurging! But seriously, Dr. Pepper had to have had inspiration in the making because you just can't find a better soda out there!

Religion!

 Last Sunday was General conference! I love these Sundays! It is a time where the whole family gets together and listens to the Living Prophet speak!

The day started out a little different than other Sundays. I spent the morning at Cathiolic Mass.... no I'm not switching faiths! I had to attend a religious service of a different faith for a class that I am taking. It was very interesting to see the differences and similarities that their services had with ours. The most prominent difference that I felt was the presence of the spirit. Now don't get me wrong, the service was very reverent and they were worshiping Christ as their Rredeemer, but I didn't feel the spirit there.

I don't know if it is just me, but the cross that has Christ hanging on it is so sad.

I know it is celebrating his sacrifice for us, but I guess I like to focus on the Redeeming Power His sacrifice DOES for our lives.  

The sermon they gave was from the Bible teaching to look past outward appearances, and to look at the hearts of people. it was a good lesson to apply to our life.

It made me so happy to be able to come home, and to listen to the prophet speak.

it was such a huge difference!

I could automatically feel the spirit, and I could feel the confirmation that this chuch is the true church of Christ

I loved how Uchtdorf prompted us to use our modern technology of blogging and  texting to spread the word of the Lord.

 

During the break between the two conferences Michael, Aubrey, Patrick and I played poker!

It was the first time I had played, and I WON! We didn't use real money of course, but it was fun to just have fun with the family!
I miss our movie nights, we have been so busy with school that we haven't had one in a LONG time,
but I think we are going to reinstate them come Spring semester!


So about a month ago Kimmy moved home.. I miss her.

Chronic Tinnitus

So my dad has had some issues with his hearing since December of 2009.

For a long time he had very distracting, high frequency ringing in his ears. Sometimes it was so distracting that he literally could not do anything!

But he has finally found something that has helped with his ringing. He started a website telling about his experience. This really has changed his life. He can now go days where he has no ringing at all!

If you know anyone with this problem, or have this problem yourself look at his website, and see if his "invention" can work for you!

It is so nice to have my Dad back!!

ramblings!!!

So we bought a new camera! I told Patrick that I would keep it under $100. Now I regret not spending the extra $20 to get an actually GOOD camera. So we returned it and are getting a new one! So pictures WILL come... I'm just not sure when! I hate not having pictures up! but oh well!

So I would just like to say that this was the best purchase I think we have made since we have been married

I sleep on this thing downstairs whenever I feel sick, or Patrick wont stop wiggling around! he has this weird twitch that he gets sometimes- his foot will twitch every thirty sseconds. LITERALLY every thirty second! i lay there and count sometimes for hours on end to see if it will stop! So when that happens I go sleep on the fouton! It has been SO wonderful! Sometimes I think it is more comfortable then our bed!. Our bed is super soft, and the fouton is harder, and you know sometimes you just get sick of having a too soft bed!

I have decided I want to get one of these

                                               like I REALLY want one! They are SO Cute!

oh how I love you

you always make my tummy feel better!

I get tummy achs a lot,

but once i stick that salty, crackery goodness in my mouth

it like instantly is better

They are a constant in our home, i dont know what it is but whenever my tummy doesn't like me, i eat a saltine cracker 

and it helps!

sometimes they are all i can eat ( like today)

no im not pregnant- just had the stomach flu! :(

the only good thing about getting the flu was that i got to watch TANGLED
